The 2025 edition of the Asia Cup will feature eight teams competing in the T20I format from September 9 to 28, held across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The tournament kicks off on September 9 with a thrilling opener between Afghanistan and Hong Kong at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. On September 10, India, ranked No. 1 in T20I cricket, will face the hosts UAE at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Prize Money Revealed
The prize pool for the 2025 Asia Cup has been revealed, with the winner set to take home Rs 2.6 crore, while the runners-up will earn Rs 1.3 crore. Additionally, the Player of the Tournament will receive Rs 12.50 lakh.
In the previous edition of the Asia Cup in 2023, India emerged as the winners, defeating Sri Lanka in the final and taking home Rs 1.25 crore in prize money.
India’s Asia Cup 2025 Schedule
India’s campaign in the Asia Cup 2025 begins with a match against UAE on September 10. The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will then face arch-rivals Pakistan in a highly anticipated match on September 14, also in Dubai. India’s third group-stage match will be against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.
If India finishes in the top two of Group A, they will qualify for the Super Fours, with their first match scheduled in Dubai against another qualified team from Group A.
While India and Pakistan are favorites to make it to the Super Fours, UAE and Oman will also be looking to make an impact in the tournament.
