Karnataka has named Indian cricketers KL Rahul, Prasidh Krishna, and Karun Nair in their probables list for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. The announcement was made on Tuesday, with the season set to begin on October 15.
Rahul and Krishna are currently part of the India A squad for the unofficial Test series against Australia A in Lucknow.
Karnataka’s Ranji Campaign
Karnataka, an eight-time Ranji Trophy winner, is placed in Elite Group B. They will kick off their season with a match against Saurashtra in Rajkot. The other teams in the group include Goa, Kerala (last year’s runners-up), Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab.
Former Karnataka player Yere Goud will continue as the coach and will join the team after the India Under-19 squad’s tour of Australia.

Anand Katti, former Karnataka spinner, has been appointed as the new chairman of the senior selection committee. He will be joined by former players C Raghu, Amit Verma, and Tejpal Kothari. Udit Patel, the son of former India cricketer and KSCA secretary Brijesh Patel, has also been added to the selection committee for the Under-19, Under-16, and Under-14 teams.
