Mohammed Siraj Joins Elite Club with 100 Away Test Wickets

Mohammed Siraj Completes 100 Wickets in Away Tests

Mohammed Siraj has officially entered an elite group of Indian pacers by claiming his 100th wicket in away Tests. The milestone came on Day 3 of the ongoing fifth Test against England at The Oval, where he dismissed opener Zak Crawley with the final ball of the day.

A Key Contributor in India’s Overseas Campaigns

With Crawley’s dismissal, Siraj’s tally reached 100 wickets in just 27 away Tests. Since making his debut in December 2020 against Australia, Siraj has consistently delivered in foreign conditions. He’s now the seventh Indian fast bowler to achieve this feat, joining the likes of Kapil Dev, Javagal Srinath, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah.

While Siraj has now hit the 100-wicket mark, legendary spinner Anil Kumble still leads the overall charts with 269 wickets in 69 away Tests. Here’s a look at India’s top wicket-takers away from home:
