The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced two India Under-19 squads — India A and India B — for the upcoming triangular series featuring Afghanistan U19, scheduled from November 17 to 30 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE).
The India U19 A side will be led by Vihaan Malhotra from Punjab Cricket Association, while Aaron George of Hyderabad Cricket Association will captain India U19 B.
Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Not Selected
Two prominent teenage cricketers — Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi — were not considered for selection as they are currently engaged in higher-level competitions.
“Ayush Mhatre was not considered for selection as he is currently playing the Ranji Trophy (for Maharashtra),” stated the BCCI.
“Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was not considered for selection as he was picked for the India A squad for the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup,” the board added.
