Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has brought the curtains down on his glorious IPL career, confirming his retirement after IPL 2025 with Chennai Super Kings. The 38-year-old made the announcement on Wednesday (August 27) through a heartfelt post on X.
“They say every ending has a new beginning. My time as an IPL cricketer comes to a close today, but my time as an explorer of the game across leagues begins. Thank you to the franchises, IPL, and BCCI for all the memories,” Ashwin wrote.
