Smriti Mandhana has secured her position as the top-ranked batter in women’s ODIs, reaching a career-high rating after a stellar home World Cup performance.
Mandhana, the ace India batter, enhanced her No. 1 ranking by achieving a career-best rating of 828, bolstered by her impressive scores of 109 against New Zealand and an unbeaten 34 against Bangladesh. This places her almost 100 points ahead of Australia’s Ash Gardner, who holds second place with a rating of 731 after climbing six spots, following her match-winning hundred against England.
Mandhana’s remarkable form extends beyond the World Cup, as she was recently named ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September, acknowledging her outstanding performances in the ODI series against Australia.

South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt rose two spots to enter the top three, thanks to her scores of 90 and 31. England’s Amy Jones made a significant leap, advancing four spots to ninth place with a rating of 656, while Annabel Sutherland’s 16-spot surge saw her rise to 16th position.
Indian batter Pratika Rawal, despite missing the rest of the World Cup due to injury, moved into the top 30, now ranked 27th with a rating of 564.
Spin Bowlers Dominate Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings
Sophie Ecclestone of England remains the No. 1 in women’s ODI bowling, but she faces strong competition from Australian leg-spinner Alana King, who achieved a career-high rating of 698 after a remarkable seven-wicket haul against South Africa. King moved up five spots, surpassing Gardner, who dropped to third.
Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu and South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba both share the 10th spot, while Marizanne Kapp and Sutherland each moved up one place to fourth and seventh, respectively.
