Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are preparing for their final tour of England in 2026 as the BCCI revises India’s roadmap for the 2027 ODI World Cup. This announcement comes amid the ongoing Test series between India and England, in which both senior players are absent, having retired from the format just a month before the series. The BCCI confirmed that India will undertake a white-ball tour of England in 2026.
India’s 2026 Tour of England: Five T20Is and Three ODIs
During the tour, India will play five T20Is and three ODIs. The T20I series will take place between July 1 and 11, followed by the ODI series from July 14 to 19. Matches will be held in Birmingham, Cardiff, and London, showcasing some of the most iconic venues in English cricket.
This tour will be India’s penultimate overseas ODI series before the 2027 World Cup in South Africa. In total, the Indian team will play 24 ODIs leading up to the ICC event, with the first series set to begin in Australia this October.

India Women’s Tour and Other Series in England
Alongside the men’s series, England will host India’s women’s team for a multi-format series. The women’s tour begins with three ODIs starting on May 28 in Chelmsford, followed by matches in Bristol and Taunton. A one-off Test match will be played at Lord’s, making this a historic summer for women’s cricket in England.
England’s men’s team, led by Ben Stokes, will also play New Zealand and Pakistan in two Rothesay Test series, while Harry Brook’s white-ball squad will face Sri Lanka and India in ODIs and T20Is.
Excitement for 2026 and Women’s T20 World Cup
